Modern flyer printing methods have made flyer printing an extremely cost efective way of promoting your brand, product, event or message to the masses. That said here are some extra little tips on getting the cheapest flyer printing on the market!

1 / Buy More Flyers…

Since the majority of the cost of larger (1000 +) quantities of Flyer Printing lies in setting up the plates for the Lithographic Press; the cost of printed flyers becomes increasingly cheap (per unit) the more flyers you order. If you’re not planning on changing the design of your flyers any time soon it might be worth spending a little bit extra to get a lot more bang for your buck.

2 / …Within Reason!

I know we just said buy more flyers but it’s important to put that advice into perspective. An easy way to save money is to be realistic about your flyer printing needs.

For example; there’s no point in ordering 5,000 A6 printed flyers and attempting to distribute them in one evening. To distribute 5,000 flyers in 4 hours you’de need to consistently distribute a flyer every 1.4 seconds (even a 5 man flyer distribution team would struggle here!)

Remember, even though you might feel like you’re getting a great deal if you’re never going to use your flyers then you might as well burn the money instead. As my Grandma used to say, “You can always have more!”

3 / Follow the Crowd

In our experience, club flyer printing accounts for almost two thirds of all printed flyers on the street with A6 flyers by far and away the most popular flyer size. What’s more, as a quantity, 5000 flyers and 10,000 flyers seem to be one of the most popular choices.

You didn’t hear it from us but for these reasons almost all printers offer a disproportionately good deal on orders of 5000, A6, Double Sided, Full Colour Flyers.

Our advice, go with the crowd to get the most for your money. Baaaaahh.

When properly executed Flyers and Flyer Printing are one of the cheapest and most effective ways for individuals and businesses to mass market their product, business, message or event. Like any marketing tactic, responses on printed flyer marketing is a percentages game however by following a few of the following tips you can significantly increase the effectiveness of your printed flyer marketing strategies.

1 / Always Add a Measurable Call to Action to Your Flyers

Without a call to action, printed flyers are unlikely to promote any response from your audience. What’s more, even if the flyers do have an effect on your business, without a measurable call to action there’s no way for you to know how successful your campaign has been! It’s all very well printing cheap flyers but unless they make you more money than the time and money put in to producing and distributing then they represent money wasted!

So what do we mean by a measurable call to action? For a club flyer why not offer a free drink on entry or a spot on the guest list. For a business flyer, why not add a unique discount for your product or service to customers who present the flyer or a flyer specific discount code at your shop, event or office. That way you’ll know exactly how many of the flyers you distributed were used. If no one uses your discount then you’ll know that something hasn’t gone to plan!

2 / Set a Time Limit On Your Flyer Printing

Once you’ve placed a call to action on your printed flyers make sure you set a time limit on them as well. By defining a fixed beginning and end to your marketing campaign you’ll not only prompt your customers to take advantage of the offer on their printed flyer sooner (rather than ferreting them away to some discrete and usually forgotten hidey hole like a demented squirrel) but you’ll also give yourself a definitive time period and end point within which to count successful responses to your flyer marketing campaign.

3 / Test. change, test, change and test again!

Once you know how successful your campaign has been it’s time to mix things up.

By changing the flyer design around, moving the focus of your flyer distribution, targeting a new market segment or trying new offers you can compare and contrast results between the campaigns.

Change one major element at a time. If responses improve - it’s a keeper. If not, go back to the previous version and try something else!

Despite what many people think (or are told), there is no guaranteed formula to marketing - it is a trial and error game that’s highly bespoke to your location and industry. Flyer printing is no different. Follow these steps however and you’ll be sure to develope confidence in your printed flyers when including them among your arsenal of other valuable lead generating tools.
